• Objectives
This role is responsible for monitoring the trade activities and premium income arising from the IATA travel agents on the DIP scheme and also from Travel Insurance earned from them. The over 500 IATA agents generate premium income on both the IATA DIP and also FASTNET.
•Risk Management
•Detailed drilling into sales trends and patterns on various software
•Predictions and extrapolations
•Report generation as requested in line with premium payment for Special Products Portfolio Information gathering


• Educational qualifications & functional / technical skills:

•A Bachelor’s degree in Human resources or related
•Conversance with the roles each industrial player has in the Nigerian Travel Industry.
•Advanced ability to adapt to existing software in order to function efficiently with minimal supervision
•Knowledge of Human Resources laws and regulations as well as Global best practices
•Must be competent in the use of MS Office, Excel, word and must be internet savvy with good e-mail and communication skills
•Spoken and written English must be good.


• Relevant experience (type of experience and minimum number of years

•Minimum of 10 years in the Travel Industry, with at least 5 years in a local or international airline that is linked to IATA via the BSPlink .
•Proven knowledge of the members of the Travel Trade
Attitude and behavioural traits

•Ability to deal with ambiguity, tight timelines, multiple priorities, and demanding customers, in a fast-moving, constantly changing environment
•High degree of professionalism, maturity and confidentiality
•Very good interpersonal and presentation skills
•Ability to see the big picture and work accordingly.

• Objective
•Planning and implementing sales, marketing and product development programmes targeted toward existing and new markets.
•Execution of the company’s business plan that outlines key initiatives and meeting established budgets associated with revenue growth, profitability and expense control.
•Proactively developing new brokers to deepen product offerings with existing Clients, Brokers.
•Responsible for new channels – new brokers/agent to drive new business production, key account retention, new product roll out, and large account prospecting.
•Developing and maintaining awareness of market behavior and competitive trends and respond accordingly.
•Developing and maintaining thorough knowledge of company’s available services, lines of business, pricing structures and offering additional services as appropriate to existing customers in conjunction with assigned brokers/agents.
•Regularly meeting with sales representatives for review of sales activities and results.
•Staying abreast of changes in the marketing environment to best serve the objectives of the organization and adjusts plans accordingly.
•Marketing Intelligence gathering/brand promotion.
•Initiate marketing strategies and coordinate actions to influence the market.
•Open business development dialogues with strategic clients with the focus to build large strategic accounts.
•Maintaining relationships with appropriate regulatory bodies.


• Qualifications/Competencies
The Candidate in mind should have obtained a minimum of Bachelor’s degree/HND. Higher academic and or professional qualification will be an advantage.
•Ideal candidate should demonstrate sales capability track record in business development and marketing financial services product in related roles with proven results of business success.
•Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, is key along with the ability to work smartly in meeting targets.
•Relationship with key customers/brokers/agents in the financial services industry.
•Good knowledge of the financial services industry, especially insurance.
