Job Summary: 

This position is responsible for managing a fleet of tractors and Equipment in the most efficient and cost-effective manner. The ideal candidate will improve and establish systems and processes for management of drivers (hiring, scheduling, dispatch coordination, compliance with all applicable regulations), fleet assets (maintenance, utilization optimization), employee health and safety, and financial performance (KPIs, financial analysis, financial reporting).


Job Responsibilities:

Key responsibilities for the role include but not limited to:

· Coordinating all movements and operations pertaining to equipment and materials, liaison with the management and monitor all third parties, contactors of supply of various tools and equipment requisitioned by the vessels.

· Coordinating with the service provider in charge of shipment/cargo (forwarding agent, carrier, sea/air freight) all instructions and documents required for a good execution.

· Inform the consignee, prepare, and send him the import documents within the required time frame.

· Verify and process all logistics related bills/invoices prior to payment disbursement.

· Ensure the relevant custom documents have been received and forward them to the administrative agent as soon as possible.

· Execute the consolidation of orders at hand and arrange export document.

· Observe and ensure safe working signaling practices in accordance with Safety Management System.

· Coordinate with vendors and follow up with the deliveries of materials within a given time frame.


Requirements:

· Minimum of 3+ years cognate experience in transport and logistics or vehicle leasing.

· A good first degree is preferred.

· Strong leadership, organization and administrative skills.

· Strong work ethic, self-motivated, and enthusiastic - can thrive in busy environment and handle pressure/stress.

· Customer service orientation.

· Must have experience with scheduling, planning, and dispatching heavy trucks or equipment.

· Understanding and appreciation of drivers to increase retention.

· Solid understanding of FRSC regulations.

· Ability to confront matters of non-compliance with drivers and/or dispatchers in a professional manner.

· Tractor/Trucks maintenance knowledge a plus.

· Implements changes meant to improve efficiency and reduce costs associated with the logistics function.

· Manages relationships with vendors.
