Global Maritime Services Ltd GMS was incorporated in 2008 and provides risk and cost reduction services for the high-value maritime and offshore domains. Our main focus is to develop services that improve safety and efficiency for navigation and offshore operations across the global maritime industry.
• Job title: Sales support manager
• Key Responsibilities
Coordination, analysis and preparation of simple to complex Request for Quotes (RFQs), Request for Information (RFIs) and Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) Proposals. Analyze all requests for quotes/proposals and other documentation by evaluating customer technical and commercial requirements and propose solutions to ensure customer needs have been met. Streamline sales support processes. Contract writing and review. Coordinating Corporate IP creation and liaising with company lawyers to successfully secure patents.
Skills
The ability to call on upper management level clients through phone and in-person sales presentations. The ability meeting sales goals and action plans and success achieving those goals. The ability to manage major accounts and global business. The ability to sell contracted services and global business. The ability to demonstrate a customer focused approach to problem solving and resolution skills. Strong innovation and experimentation skills. Current knowledge of maritime industry, current market trends and economic factors. Extensive skill in development and delivery of sales presentations (Power Point). Ability to access, understand and accurately input information using Microsoft WORD and PowerPoint. The ability to read, listen and communicate effectively in English, both verbally and written. Proven success in a customer focused sales environment. Solution based sales approach to a longer sales cycle. Confidence, enthusiasm and a strong dedication to the job and company.
Experience and education
The selected person will have an degree in Maritime Operations and Management/Product Management/Business or similar with at least 5 year experience in a product development and at least 5 year experience from product development from a supplier or a user organization and further commercialization.
