We are currently recruiting for Manager Ground Operations Delivery
Location: United Arab Emirates
•The Manager Ground Operations Delivery is responsible for ensuring that the load control (LC) and ‘below-wing’ (BTW) arena is managed in accordance with the regulatory and corporate framework. This role is key to ensuring compliance with aircraft handling and weight and balance standards via multiple approved channels, and for identifying synergetic opportunities with equity partner carriers within the load control environment. Responsible for developing below-wing & weight and balance solutions and strategic oversight
• JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
•Accountable for the delivery of the below wing and Load Control supplier approval and centralized load control solutions and rolling out same to the business. Will ensure that operational output is of a high standard with regard to load control accuracy, practicality and procedural compliance. Retains responsibility for financial control of below wing & load control costs network wide and working with key stakeholders to mitigate financial exposure
•Manages a dedicated team to provide & deliver training and operational support to the network for loadcontrol and below-the-wing activities
•Provides technical guidance to internal and external customers on weight and balance policy. Delivers analytical support, responding effectively and providing constructive feedback on problem resolution
•Key provider to payload analysis issues, working closely with the commercial departments (Revenue Management and Sales) to ensure that the operational capacity is exploited, maximized and delivered
•Responsible for ensuring that below-wing & weight and balance solutions delivered within the network remain current, valid and ensure safe and secure aircraft operations. This role will have strategic oversight of training schedules, keeping abreast of drivers of risk such as staff attrition and GHA changes.
•Delivers corporate level operational and safety initiatives to the network such as the ACARS loadsheet procedure, fuel saving initiatives via EZFW management and centralized load control solutions for Etihad Airways and equity partner airlines
•Direct ownership of below wing and load control training syllabi to meet operational & regulatory requirements in line with the Etihad Airways GOM, OMA and all other operational manuals.
•Will record and analyse deviations from the company standards, specifically in relation to load control policy, and ensure sustainable corrective action. Will regularly evaluate performance records within the operations arena in order to avoid the development of undesirable trends
•Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks and participating in professional societies
•Previous operational & people management experience desirable
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
•Minimum Diploma or equivalent
•Subject matter expert (SME) with proven demonstrable sound knowledge and relevant industry
•Experience of airport operations preferably gained in 10-15 years working experience in a Below Wing or Ground Operations role with an airline or ground handling agency.
