The company was established on January 18th 1989 and commenced operations as Eterna oil $ gas limited in 1991. In 1997 the company was reregistered as a public limited company (plc).
To show uniqueness as a manufacturer and marketer of reliable, highly quality and efficient lubricants and oil products, Eterna has established a technical training platform with castrol BP in 1991 the pioneer in global lubricant technology and chemical specialists.
This has enhanced the relationships of trading platforms and agreement to import and market castrol products in Nigeria and across the ECOWAS sub-region.


At Eternal oil & gas our lubes blending plant is the third plant in Africa with a state-of the-art laboratory to exclusively manufacture Castrol products and will be the only one to cater for the West African markets.
