Vacancy Details:
This job is Geneva-based but will require support to various Opco’s, and travelling will be necessary to complement remote support.
Support parent Operating Companies as appropriate for design, engineering, execution and performance-evaluation of completion work.
Assist monitoring of NOV completion activities, as required.
Support ongoing WIMS project, as required.
Support any Corporate project linked to function, as required.

Well Performance Analysis for Well Intervention:
In relation with the OPCO and relevant Asset Teams, participate in identification of candidates (well diagnostic) for well intervention (in view of maximizing PI / reserves).
Related to activity, design and support implementation of well monitoring programs, for pre and post-activity performance analysis, integrating completions and production engineering, with the finality of better understanding Well Performance to formulate a diagnostic and a forward plan as appropriate.
Related to activity, propose technical solutions, justification and support preparation of Well Intervention programs (and execution if necessary).
Provide cost & planning support to management for justification of proposed interventions and data collection operations.
HSE Required:
Ensures HSE requirements are integral to all aspects of completion, testing and well intervention activities.
Contribute to delivering flawless operational HSE performance.


Position Requirements
Technical Competencies
 Skills:
•Strong & demonstrated track-record in completion design & delivery, ideally in both Operator and vendor specialist teams, both for lower completion design (including sand-face, sand control, zonal isolation) and upper completion design (including flow-control, artificial lift: gas-lift, ESP’s)
•Demonstrated technical skills in:
•Completion design (lower & upper)•Reservoir & completion fluid design
•Basic skills in formation damage analysis / well performance analysis (inflow/outflow)
•Well Services (recompletions, work-overs, integrity)
•Stimulation (acidizing, fracturing)
•Wellhead Systems (incl. Tree design / routine maintenance)
•Well Testing (DST, surface)
•Proficiency with IT and industry software including:
•WellCat or other Tubing Movement Modelling (Skills)
•Prosper or other Nodal Analysis Software (Awareness)
•Drill String Design with emphasis on Torque/Drag Modelling (applicable for completions) (Skills)

• Good tendering/contract management and service company management skills.
• Safety and risk management skills.
 Under supervision and support from Addax Corporate CWI Manager.
Perform Completion Engineering studies to ensure optimum lower and upper completion designs. Develop procedures to deliver optimum operational and well performance. Work closely with sub-surface and PT personnel to ensure production & recovery targets are realistic, and completion requirements are met.
Liaise with subcontractors, authorities and partners as appropriate.
Provide completion/well intervention engineering support for various Opco’s or NOV’s, upon request. Provide technical expertise in completion operations including the selection, design and planning. Support execution, and post job analysis as needed.
Review and provide feedback on operational programmes as requested.
Ensure that all completion / well intervention activities comply with company standards and governmental regulations (including HSE).
Provide completions input to Wells teams and well engineering delivery objectives (BOD) as necessary.
When in charge, assume responsibility for all well reporting and documentation.
Assist in monitoring and evaluation of well performance for diagnostics (see section below).
Manage external engineer studies (as appropriate) to deliver optimal completion performance (vendors or 3rd parties).
Ensure well material and service providers comply with specified quality assurance requirements.
Build effective relationships and interact professionally with internal/external stakeholders and service companies.
Assists or lead in the management of the service contracts and contractor performance-improvement process.
Ensures continuous improvement and Lessons Learnt are captured and communicated. Identify & communicate performance improvement areas.
Ensure that all work within areas of responsibility is adequately documented and lessons learned are captured for the benefit of future company operations worldwide.
Provide technical training / mentoring to Opco staff as necessary.


Minimum Experience Needed:
•A minimum of 15 years’ experience in a similar technical capacity is required, with demonstrated experience in engineering and delivery (operations), preferably with major Service Companies and/or IOC's.
•International experience is mandatory. Experience of West Africa operating environment (offshore, remote… including in a direct operations supervisory position is also an absolute must.
•Successful design and delivery of completions in different operating and depositional environments (with a priority on unconsolidated sandstone reservoirs)
• Experience of low cost environments and Brown Fields Ops is a definite plus.

Qualifications:
•University degree in an engineering discipline, preferably in mechanical or petroleum engineering or equivalent.
•Fluency in English both written and spoken. Fluency in French is a plus.
